Job summary

Frontline Recruitment Group in Auckland is seeking a General Practitioner to join an established practice serving the South Auckland community. The role offers clinical autonomy within an integrated care model, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Work is five days a week from 8:00am to 5:00pm with flexible rostering; a Fellowship pathway is available and opportunities to expand into urgent care within a supported environment may exist.

Qualifications

• Registered Medical Practitioner with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligible for registration.
• Flexible working across a 5-day service may be available.
• Fellowship opportunities encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, culturally responsive primary care.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute presentations.
• Prescribe medications, order and interpret investigations, and coordinate referrals.
• Provide patient education to support health literacy and self-management.
• Contribute to a community-led model of care.

Full time

The Opportunity

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a General Practitioner to join a well-established practice with more than 30 years supporting the South Auckland community operating within an integrated model of care.

You will practise with a high degree of clinical autonomy within your scope, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team including GP Fellows.

The clinic operates 5 days per week from 8:00am to 5:00pm during winter and some extended hours in Summer time, with flexible rostering available.

Clinical Environment & Workload

Average of 3-4 patients per hour, enabling quality, patient-centred consultations

Booking patient model

Further support to complete your Fellowship if desired.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, culturally responsive primary care


• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute presentations


• Prescribe medications, order and interpret investigations, and coordinate referrals


• Provide patient education to support improved health literacy and self-management


• Contribute to the ongoing development of an innovative, community-led model of care

About You

Registered Medical Practitioner with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligible for registration with the Medical Council to enable practice in New Zealand also a hard working attitude towards delivering outstanding care.
