Job summary

Fletcher Building Limited in Wellington seeks a hands-on Yard & Drive Thru Operator to support customers in our timber yard and Drive Thru area. You will load goods, process orders and help customers with transactions, ensuring accurate picking and safe handling.

You will also operate a forklift, monitor inventory, and work as part of a busy team to maintain an efficient warehouse. A valid forklift licence and driver licence are preferred; strong numeracy and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Full clean Class 1 driver licence and forklift licence preferred.
• Trade/product knowledge or warehousing experience is advantageous.
• Physically fit and committed to health & safety.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organisation.
• Computer and numeracy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers in timber yard and Drive Thru area.
• Loading goods onto customer vehicles.
• Processing customer orders and transactions.
• Picking orders for delivery when needed.
• Monitoring inventory and cycle counts.
• Maintaining an efficient warehouse and health and safety standards.
• Operating a forklift.
