Job summary

Wellington City Council is seeking a Lifeguard to join the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre team in Kilbirnie. You’ll help operate pools, keep users safe and ensure everyone has a great time in and around the water.

This full-time role uses a rotating three-week roster with 120 hours, including 5am starts, late finishes, and weekend work. Reliable transport is required, and you’ll receive training to obtain key qualifications.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills and enjoy providing customer care.
• Willing to learn; full training provided.
• Available for rotating roster including early starts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate WRAC pools and ensure pool users are safe.
• Support high-performance and community programmes when required.
