Job summary

AFFCO New Zealand is seeking a proactive Freezer Supervisor for the Rangiuru plant in Te Puke. You will lead cold storage operations, liaising with internal and external customers and reporting to the Production Manager to plan and document daily activities.

Key requirements include inventory control, adherence to safety standards, and strong administration skills with Excel and Word. Willingness to train new staff and support continuous improvement in the freezer department.

Qualifications

• Experience in freezer or cold storage operations preferred.
• Strong admin skills with Excel and Word.
• Ability to plan, supervise and document day-to-day freezer operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee freezer inventory movement, productivity and quality documentation.
• Ensure MPI and AFFCO compliance, product specs and cold chain procedures.
• Manage the IT system for the freezers.
• Control fixed and variable labour, materials and equipment costs.
• Supervise cold storage staff, including training and rosters.
• Promote Health & Safety across the team.

We are currently seeking an adaptable Freezer Supervisor to join our Plant Leadership team based at our Rangiuru plant in Te Puke. As a member of a dynamic leadership team, the Freezer Supervisor is responsible for the coldstorage operations and effective liaison with all internal and external customers.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for planning, supervising and documentation of the day-to-day operations of our Freezer Department.

Key requirements for this role are a proven ability to:

• Manage thefreezer's inventory movement, productivity andquality documentation.
• Manage MPI and AFFCO complianceprocesses, customer product specification, health and safety and coldchain management processes.
• Manage the IT system for thefreezers.
• Control fixed and variablecosts of labour, materials and plant.
• Supervision of Cold Storagestaff including training and shift rosters.
• Solid administration skillswith at least intermediate-level proficiencyin Excel and Word.
• Actively promote Health &Safety.
