Job summary

Partly is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with customers in Auckland or Christchurch. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years in software engineering and will lead the technical deployment of solutions. This role emphasizes building real integrations while gathering insights to improve product offerings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of production software engineering experience.
• Ability to translate workflows into pragmatic solutions.
• Familiarity with APIs, testing, and system design.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to understand workflows.
• Lead technical discovery and solution design.
• Build and ship production code.

Skills

3+ years building and shipping complex software in production environments.

Strong customer empathy and product thinking.

Comfortable owning the full lifecycle.

Strong foundations in engineering fundamentals.

Ability to work across boundaries.

Experience integrating with external systems.

Able to operate in ambiguous environments.

Bonus: Experience in forward-deployed solutions engineering.
