Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a registered health professional for the Rotorua team of the Te Manawa Regional Reintegration Service. You will conduct clinical assessments, provide therapeutic interventions, and liaise with the ACMHT for tangata whaiora releasing to Rotorua.

The role operates under clinical oversight from the Lead Coordinator and Senior Coordinator. The successful candidate will hold HPCA registration with an Annual Practising Certificate, have mental health

Qualifications

• Current registration under the HPCA Act 2003 (e.g. nursing, occupational therapy, or social work).
• Annual Practising Certificate required.
• Experience in mental health, forensic, or justice-related settings preferred.
• Sound clinical knowledge and risk assessment competency.
• Whānau-centred, collaborative approach with te ao Māori and te reo Māori commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention.
• Liaise with ACMHT for tangata whaiora releasing to Rotorua district.
• Develop and implement reintegration plans.
• Review mental health status and work with ACMHT.
• Advocate for tangata whaiora to access local community services.
• Follow tasks delegated by Senior Coordinator.
