The Ministry for Primary Industries in Tauranga is seeking a Food Compliance Officer to protect New Zealand's food supply. You will work with the public and the food industry to resolve safety issues, using a mix of office and field duties to help ensure only safe and suitable food is sold across Aotearoa New Zealand.

You will identify and manage breaches under the Food Act, Wine Act, Geographical Indications Registration Act and parts of the Animal Products Act, with training of up to four

• Experience applying a risk-based approach to food safety and enforcement.
• Ability to prepare robust court prosecution cases where non-compliance is identified.
• Willingness to attain warrants such as Food Safety Officer, Animal Products Act, Geographical Indications Act and Wine Act.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
