Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and experienced FMCG Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality control and assurance efforts in Queenstown. You will establish and maintain robust QMS to ensure all products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards in a fast-moving consumer goods environment.

Work closely with production, R&D and regulatory affairs to uphold excellence in every product, lead and mentor the QA/QC team, manage audits, investigate non-conformities and implement CAPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in quality assurance or quality control within FMCG.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience leading teams and managing audits.

• Oversee QA/QC activities including inspections and testing.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced FMCG Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality control and assurance efforts in Queenstown . You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust quality management systems to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role is critical in safeguarding the company's reputation and ensuring customer satisfaction within the competitive fast-moving consumer goods market . You will work closely with production, R&D, and regulatory affairs teams to uphold excellence in every product that leaves the facility in the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) for all FMCG products .
• Oversee all quality control activities, including raw material inspection, in-process testing, and finished product analysis.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Lead and mentor the QA/QC team, fostering a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
• Manage internal and external audits, investigate non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, with a strong background in the FMCG industry .
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience managing teams.
