Woolworths Pharmacy is expanding its nationwide network and seeks a Floating Pharmacist to provide roving coverage while anchored to a home pharmacy near you. You will report to the local Pharmacy Manager and contribute to patient care, clinical services and dispensing across multiple stores.

The role blends locum variety with permanent team support, offering security, full benefits and opportunities to advance in clinical leadership within Woolworths Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy with current APC (NZ).
• Full NZ Driver Licence and right to work in New Zealand.
• Willingness to travel across NZ and rove between stores.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical excellence, patient counselling, vaccinations and community health initiatives across diverse stores.
• Dispense medicines accurately with high standards of safety and compliance.
• Provide roving leadership and sole-charge coverage during planned leave and peak periods.
• Collaborate with local Pharmacy Managers, Dispensary Technicians and store teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and merchandising standards.

What you'll do

We’re looking for an adaptable, energetic Floating Pharmacist to join our nationwide Woolworths Pharmacy network. While you will provide roving coverage across the country, you will be anchored to a designated home pharmacy closest to where you live, reporting directly to your local Pharmacy Manager.

• Delivering professional health services: Provide clinical excellence, patient counselling, vaccinations, and community healthcare initiatives across diverse regional and metro stores.
• Dispensing medicines accurately: Step into varying dispensaries seamlessly, maintaining high standards of clinical accuracy, patient safety, and legal compliance.
• Roving leadership & coverage: Provide confident relief and sole-charge coverage during planned leave, unexpected surges, and peak seasonal periods.
• Collaboration & workflow support: Rapidly integrate with local Pharmacy Managers, Dispensary Technicians, and store teams to keep daily dispensary operations running smoothly.
• Reviewing stock & retail standards: Assist with dispensary stock management, ordering, and ensuring high standards of merchandising.
• Outstanding customer service: Bring energy, empathy, and care to every community you serve, ensuring every customer leaves with trusted guidance.

• People Connection: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build immediate rapport with local team members, healthcare providers, and patients.
• Qualifications & Registration: A completed Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent recognised by the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand) and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Licence & Mobility: A full, clean New Zealand Driver Licence and the flexibility to travel regularly (with rostered travel planned in advance).
• Work Rights: Valid legal documentation and right to work in Aotearoa New Zealand.
• Clinical Accreditations: Current CPR and Vaccinator accreditation (or willingness to complete accreditation promptly).
