Job summary

Weekday is seeking an experienced finance professional to work across its clients in a high-growth environment. You will conduct financial analysis, valuation and due diligence to evaluate opportunities, build financial models, and prepare strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in finance, strong analytical skills, and exposure to investment banking, VC, PE or hedge funds. Open to candidates in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Must-Have Requirements

• Current experience in a finance-related role at a recognised financial institution, investment firm, or established startup.
• Professional background in one or more of the following areas:
• Venture Capital (VC)
• Private Equity (PE)
• Growth Equity
• Hedge Funds
• Investment Banking
• Undergraduate degree from a top-ranked university in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with financial modelling, company valuation, investment analysis, or risk assessment, depending on the area of specialisation.
• Excellent written communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Current residence and professional availability in one of the following English-speaking countries: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with financial modelling, valuation methodologies, investment research, and due diligence.
• Understanding of capital markets, portfolio management, corporate finance, or alternative investments.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
