We have an exciting fixed-term parental leave opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Funding & Performance team.

As a trusted advisor to the Deputy Chief Executive, Tamariki and Whānau Services, and their leadership team, you will provide high-quality financial advice, insight and challenge to support operational and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with senior leaders across a large and complex service delivery environment, helping ensure resources are directed where they can make the greatest difference for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.

This role requires someone who thrives in an operational setting, can quickly build trusted relationships, and is comfortable translating financial information into meaningful business insights. You'll support business planning, budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, performance reporting, and the evaluation of investment options and trade-offs. You will also lead and support a small team while contributing as a key member of the wider leadership environment

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• A relevant tertiary qualification and Chartered Accountant status (or equivalent professional qualification).
• Leading people and coaching and mentoring to foster high performance and a positive culture.
• Significant experience in a senior finance business partnering role within a large, complex organisation.
• A strong operational mindset and the ability to support leaders managing frontline service delivery.
• Exceptional relationship management skills and the confidence to provide constructive challenge.
• Proven ability to facilitate and support strategic planning, option analysis, and recommendations to empower senior executives to make informed decisions.
• Proven experience partnering with senior executives and influencing decision-making.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities.
• The ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and practical way.
• Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples’ culture
