Job summary

Wētā Workshop Ltd is seeking a qualified EWRB Registered Electrician to join a leading utilities company serving the Wellington region. The role involves travel across the area to inspect electrical assets, perform fault finding, assess conditions, and report on network performance.

You will work in a varied field-based environment with a strong safety culture, collaborate with technical teams and customers, and contribute to critical infrastructure across Wellington.

Qualifications

• Current NZ EWRB Practising Licence.
• Electrical trade qualification / Similar.
• Experience with overhead lines, underground cabling, or distribution networks highly regarded.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Great communication and a proactive attitude.
• Based in NZ with full work rights is essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting overhead and underground network assets.
• Conducting condition surveys and testing.
• Identifying faults and defects.
• Recording and reporting asset data using specialist software.
• Working closely with technical teams and customers.
• Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
