Farm Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Taupo, Waikato, New Zealand

Our client is seeking a field-oriented farm animal veterinarian to join a busy and dynamic rural practice servicing dairy, beef and lifestyle-block sectors. The successful applicant will manage day-to-day herd health programmes, reproductive work, and perform on-farm diagnostics and interventions in a hands-on environment.

In This Position, Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Carrying out herd-level health assessments, monitoring, and preventative protocols
  • Performing on-farm reproductive services including artificial insemination, pregnancy testing and calving assistance
  • Undertaking diagnostic investigations, necropsies and providing treatment plans in a production-animal context
  • Building strong relationships with farm clients and supporting production-animal performance goals
  • Participating in on-call rotations and assisting with emergency farm animal cases as required
