Job summary

Keith Andrews Trucks is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Technician to join our Wellington Seaview workshop. You will diagnose, service and repair heavy vehicles, with ongoing manufacturer training and a clear path for career progression.

We offer overtime pay, factory training with Fuso, Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner, and support to gain a Class 5 licence. Join a Kiwi-owned business with a strong national presence and 300+ team members.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience as a Heavy Diesel Technician or relevant trade qualification.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Excellent mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a busy workshop.
• Class 1 or 2L licence (support to gain Class 5).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing to manufacturer standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Communicate with the service team regarding repairs and customer approvals.
• Complete job documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Keep up to date with the latest vehicle technology and manufacturer training.
• Maintain a safe, clean and compliant workshop environment.
