Job summary

South Waikato District Council is seeking an Executive Manager to head Delivery, the council’s largest portfolio. Reporting to the CE, the EM will oversee customer services, local community services, green space development and management, roading, property and facility maintenance and management, along with major project delivery including the development and renewal of critical infrastructure.

South Waikato District Council is seeking to appoint an Executive Manager to head Council’s largest portfolio – Delivery. Reporting to the CE, the EM will oversee the likes of customer services, local community services, green space development and management, roading, property and facility maintenance and management, along with major project delivery including the development and renewal of critical infrastructure. There will be a focus on engaging with, supporting and promoting commercial activities in the district. This is a Council that is not risk averse and aims to support the community with opportunities and managed growth.

To be considered for this position, you must have proven experience of operating at a senior leadership level and be a capable people leader. You will be strategic thinking but have a strong focus on operations, service delivery and be commercially savvy. You must have a strong interest in providing outstanding services to a community, be an excellent decision-maker and be politically aware.
