Job summary

A leading finance firm in Auckland is seeking a Financial Analyst to conduct research, build financial models, and assist in monthly reporting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for markets, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel. A Bachelor's degree in finance is preferred. This role may require occasional travel.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Undertake research on a wide variety of sector and companies, across various industries and countries using multiple sources.
• Present your investment ideas in a concise and clear manner.
• Carry out ad hoc research projects.
• Build and create financial models
• Assist in monthly reporting and presentations.
• Travel as and when needed.

Qualifications and experience

• You might have a couple of years experience already as an analyst or be looking to build a career in the industry.
• You must have a passion for markets and be able to express that through actions and communication.
• You should be able to think critically, gather and analyse information from a wide variety of sources, and incorporate those into your ideas.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills are a must and you should be able to work unsupervised.
• You should be software proficient in Excel including modelling ana data analysis.
• An understanding of Bloomberg is helpful although not critical.
• You will have at least an undergraduate degree, preferably in finance.
