Job summary

VetSouth in Invercargill, New Zealand, seeks a board eligible or board certified equine surgeon or an experienced equine veterinarian with substantial surgical experience. Join a team of five equine veterinarians, with access to a dedicated surgical suite and full diagnostic support.

The role includes elective and emergency surgeries, lameness investigations, pre-purchase exams, and ambulatory work. NZ relocation and visa support are offered, with CPD, on-call remuneration, and accommodation

Qualifications

• Board eligible/board certified equine surgeon or experienced equine veterinarian with significant surgical experience.
• Strong commitment to high standards of patient care and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform elective and emergency surgeries for equine patients.
• Lead clinical investigations including lameness and performance issues.
• Participate in on-call roster and after-hours coverage.
