Job summary

PVH is seeking 2 experienced Nail/Lash Technicians for its Calvin Klein team at Dress-Smart Hornby, Christchurch. The role requires delivering high-quality nail and lash services in a busy salon, with a focus on client care, hygiene, and presentation.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of nail and/or eyelash experience and hold NZ Beauty Therapy Level 4 or a Bachelor qualification, or have equivalent professional experience. Weekend work on a rotating roster is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ professional nail and/or lash experience.
• NZ Certificate in Beauty Therapy (Level 4) or Bachelor qualification.
• Be a NZ citizen, resident, or hold a valid work visa.

Responsibilities

• Be available to work weekends and public holidays as part of a rotating roster.
• Maintain an immaculate personal presentation and professional salon uniform.
• Deliver high-quality nail services including manicures, pedicures, acrylic and gel nails within allocated service times.
• Provide eyelash extension services (Classic, Hybrid, Volume) to suit client eye shape (if qualified).
• Perform nail art, nail repairs and lash aftercare guidance to a high standard.
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene procedures and maintain a clean, hygienic workspace.
• Build long-term client relationships to encourage retention and re-booking.
• Communicate confidently and courteously with clients and team members.

Availability of Working Hours

• Monday to Sunday: 9:00am – 6:00pm

Pay & Experience

Pay rate: $28–$33 per hour, depending on experience and technical skill

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ professional nail and/or lash experience required

Hold a New Zealand Certificate in Beauty Therapy (Level 4), a Bachelor qualification, OR have at least 2 years of professional nail and/or eyelash experience

Be a NZ citizen, resident, or hold a valid work visa

Key Responsibilities

• Be available to work weekends and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
• Maintain an immaculate personal presentation and professional salon uniform
• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service and client care
• Communicate confidently and courteously with clients and team members
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workspace at all times
• Use nail and lash products, chemicals, and adhesives correctly and safely in line with bestpractice
• Clean, maintain, and sanitise tools and equipment after every service
• Provide high-quality nail services including manicures, pedicures, acrylic and gel nails within allocated service times
• Provide eyelash extension services such as Classic, Hybrid, Volume, and styling to suit client eye shape and preferences (if qualified)
• Perform nail art, nail repairs, and lash aftercare guidance to a high standard when required
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene procedures
• Build long-term client relationships to encourage retention and re-booking
• Proactively contribute to a positive, professional salon culture
• Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support salon operations
