Job summary

Rutherford College is seeking an enthusiastic English teacher for a fixed-term parental leave position commencing 28 January 2027. You will join a supportive, collaborative team and bring English to life in the classroom to foster critical thinking, creativity and a love of language.

The successful applicant will deliver engaging lessons across secondary levels, build positive relationships with students and work with colleagues to support student achievement.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified English teacher with NZ registration.
• Experience welcome but not required; opportunities to grow.
• Solid knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA assessment requirements.
