Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Taranaki is seeking Emergency Medicine Specialists to work across Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth and Hawera Hospital. The role involves rotating between sites with a structured six-week roster including around 18 shifts.

You will contribute to a high-quality emergency service, support CME activities, and participate in education and assessment of junior staff and students within a supportive regional team.

Qualifications

• Provide emergent care for the district and manage a wide range of presentations.
• Participate in teaching and assessment of junior medical staff and students.
• Engage in ongoing CME activities and contribute to the training program.

Responsibilities

• Work between Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth and Hawera Hospital.
• Support the roster with ~18 shifts over a six-week cycle.
• Collaborate with other specialists to improve patient outcomes.
