Job summary

Tetra Pak in Hamilton, NZ, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Automation and Electrical Engineering Team based in our Hamilton office. You will support projects end-to-end, contribute to project pricing, and act as a technical adviser to customers. The role involves collaboration within a processing team delivering solutions mainly for the food and dairy industry.

You will travel 20-30% to customer sites. Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

Qualifications

University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
NZ residency with full working rights.
Experience delivering electrical design across full lifecycle.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge of AS/NZS Wiring Regulations and electrical standards.
Experience in an industrial production environment.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical solutions to standards for Tetra Pak or customer requirements.
Lead pricing, cost estimates, and scope definition for bids.
Manage electrical project delivery from design through commissioning.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to deliver engineered solutions.
Provide technical mentorship and contribute to continuous improvement.
