Job summary

Education Review Office (ERO) is seeking experienced evaluators to join the Review and Improvement Services group. Based in the North Island, you will evaluate school quality for diverse learners and prepare public reports to inform improvements.

The role requires a strong background in education leadership, NZ Curriculum, and data-informed analysis. Starting salary is NZD 102,995 (negotiable) plus superannuation; nationwide travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in education leadership roles in primary and/or secondary sectors.
• Experience using evaluation to guide improvement.
• Deep knowledge of NZ Curriculum, assessment and pedagogy.
• Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative information to support improvement.
• Proven ability to build trusting professional relationships and challenge norms.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the quality of education provided by schools for diverse learners.
• Support school improvement based on evaluation findings.
• Prepare public reports from evaluations.
