Job summary

Woolworths Group in New Zealand seeks a capable supervisor to help manage store processes and lead a small team in Ashburton. You’ll ensure timely order fulfilment, maintain quality standards, and support daily operations across the site.

The role emphasises process excellence, teamwork, safety, and customer service, with weekend shifts and at least one evening per week. You’ll work with a team Leader and swarm to drive efficiency and improvements.

  • Manage and maintain process flow for an assigned workstream.
  • Collaborate closely with your Team Leader and 'swarm' to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure uninterrupted process completion and strict adherence to established guidelines.

  • Process Management & Order Fulfillment: Follows set routines for timely and accurate process completion, ensuring online orders are picked correctly and fresh food quality meets standards.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Leads the team (\"swarm\") to ensure correct work completion, provides on-the-job training and coaching, and steps up as Acting Store Manager on scheduled shifts.
  • Issue Resolution & Escalation: Identifies and timely escalates process-related issues to the Function Lead for effective resolution.
  • Safety & Wellbeing Advocacy: Champions a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety protocols, reporting hazards, and prioritizing team wellbeing.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Actively participates in team collaboration and communication initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
