Aurecon is expanding its ecology capability in New Zealand. Join as Associate, Ecology in the Environment & Planning team, Auckland, to lead a brand-new team and shape our ecology offering for major infrastructure including water, transport and renewable energy sectors.

You will partner with clients to unlock opportunities, deliver ecological assessments, and drive business growth while mentoring junior professionals.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
  • 10+ years ecology experience in New Zealand.
  • Proven experience delivering ecology assessments and reports across project stages.
  • Track record of work winning, client management and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead establishment and growth of Aurecon's ecology team in New Zealand.
  • Build strong relationships with key clients, identifying and converting opportunities.
  • Win and deliver ecology projects across transport, water and renewable energy sectors.
  • Provide technical leadership across ecology reporting and assessment lifecycle.
  • Mentor and develop emerging ecology professionals as the team grows.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions.
  • Shape the future direction of Aurecon's ecology offering and market presence in NZ.
