Job summary

WSP is seeking an Experienced and/or Senior Ecologist to join our Wellington team. You will lead ecological projects from field surveys to reporting, provide expert environmental advice, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with clients and stakeholders on local and global projects.

The role emphasizes strong technical and analytical skills, plus a commitment to regulatory compliance and WSP's high standards in delivering impactful ecological services.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and ideally 5+ years' professional experience.
• Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) –or working towards it
• Strong technical, analytical, and project management skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and build relationships at all levels
• Commitment to WSP's guiding principles: valuing people, fostering collaboration, and challenging the status quo
