Job description
About us

Busy Bees Napier Road is part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau, giving you the support of a nationwide organisation with the family feeling of a close knit centre. We see the environment as a child’s third teacher, with our Kōwhai Room for pēpi and Redwood Room for older tamariki opening to large, natural outdoor spaces where children connect with Papatūānuku every day. Our play based curriculum is grounded in Te Whāriki and reflects the diverse cultures in our community as tamariki learn alongside one another.

About you

You are friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoy being with young children. Whether you already have some ECE experience or are just starting out, you are keen to learn, open to feedback and ready to grow in a supportive team.

The mahi

You will support kaiako with daily routines, supervision and learning experiences, helping to create calm, engaging spaces where tamariki feel safe to explore and play. You will get involved in play, help set up and reset environments, support care routines and join nature based experiences that connect children with Papatūānuku.

Why you’ll love it here

Teacher in training support, discounted childcare, annual flu vaccination, staff uniforms, monthly staff wellbeing budget and EAP, induction with mentoring and coaching, ongoing opportunities for career growth and development, and a supportive team to work alongside.
