Busy Bees Aotearoa in Silverstream, Wellington region, invites relief teachers to join a nature-based centre where tamariki, whānau, and kaiako learn and thrive together.

As a reliever, you’ll move between rooms, support daily activities, and provide relational care with consistent energy. Enjoy flexible hours, strong leadership, and a culture focused on wellbeing and meaningful relationships.

Qualifications

• Is registered or unregistered, with a heart for nurturing, caring for, and supporting our little ones.
• Is either experienced or new to the ECE space, as all backgrounds are welcome.
• Brings a steady, positive energy and a natural ability to connect with people.
• Stays adaptable, is quick to pick up new routines, and happy to help where needed.
• Stays anchored under pressure and enjoys being part of a professional, supportive culture.

Responsibilities

• Move between different rooms and age groups to support our permanent kaiako.
• Help guide daily activities, engage in play-based learning, and offer relational support.
• Provide consistency and good energy as you slot into each new space.
• Work alongside professional teams that value the fresh perspective you provide.
• Support tamariki to feel safe, confident, and free to explore.
• Help keep the day moving smoothly and child-centred.
