Job summary

Busy Bees Whitby is seeking an experienced early childhood educator to join our warm, welcoming centre. You will plan using Te Whāriki, capture high-quality assessments, and nurture a sense of belonging for every child.

You will collaborate with a supportive leadership team, maintain a safe, beautiful learning environment, and build strong relationships with families. NZ registration is required and applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Qualifications

• Mōu A recognised New Zealand ECE or Primary teaching qualification with current NZ registration.
• Warm communication style and the ability to build strong relationships.
• Proactive spirit and the integrity to act in ways that are fair and ethical.
• Passion for the NZ national curriculum and a drive to share fresh, creative ideas.
• Confidence using digital tools to document learning and stay connected with families.

Responsibilities

• Draw on Te Whāriki to plan and guide the educational journey of each child.
• Celebrate the magic of learning by capturing and sharing high-quality assessments so every child's progress can be celebrated.
• Create a supportive, equitable atmosphere where a sense of belonging is prioritised.
