Job summary

BestStart Leeds Street in Wellington CBD is seeking a warm, passionate Qualified and Certificated Teacher to join our Harakeke (Under 2s) room in a permanent, full-time role.

This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working with our youngest tamariki in a nurturing, child-led environment. You hold a BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) with a current practising certificate and demonstrate Te Whāriki knowledge and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of child-led learning and curriculum planning.
• Te Whāriki knowledge and familiarity with ECE regulations.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in teaching practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning in Harakeke room with tamariki under 2.
• Collaborate with team to deliver child-led learning.
• Plan and implement Te Whāriki-based curriculum for early years.
