Job summary

ATNZ is recruiting a General Engineering Apprentice for a host company in Waiuku, Auckland. You will be employed by ATNZ and gain hands-on training while studying to become a qualified engineer. Duties include fitting and assembly, machining, fabrication, service and repair, and manufacturing, with hydraulics and pneumatics.

You’ll work full-time for 3–4 years while completing a pre-trade qualification. No qualifications are necessary; a great attitude and a strong work ethic count.

Qualifications

• No qualifications are necessary; we look for people with a great attitude and good work ethic who want to be hands-on and earn something they are passionate about.
• 3-4 years of study while working full time.
• Anyone aged 16 or over with the right to permanently live and work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Fitting and assembly.
• Machine shop.
• Service and repair.
• Manufacturing.
• General fabrication of machines and equipment, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
