Job summary

ACG Strathallan College in Karaka, Auckland is seeking an experienced Science and Biology Secondary Teacher for a permanent role starting Term 1 in 2027. The teacher will deliver differentiated lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to the school community within Inspired Education’s global network.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Education (Secondary), NZ Education Council accreditation, and a willingness to engage in school activities beyond classrooms.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum, assessment, and student progress tracking.
• Ability to create engaging, well-managed learning environments that support strong academic outcomes.
• Skilled in assessment, feedback, reporting, and building positive partnerships with parents.
• Confident using technology and contemporary teaching approaches to enhance learning.

Responsibilities

• Create Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons aligned with curriculum and assessment requirements, differentiating for all learners.
• Assess and provide targeted feedback to drive student progress.
• Establish a positive, inclusive classroom culture to support wellbeing and growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Contribute to co-curricular activities and whole-school programs.
• Maintain open communication with parents to support student progress.
