The role requires registration as a mental health professional, a postgraduate certificate in Mental Health, and at least seven years of experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Professionalto join the Mental Health Addictions & Intellectual Service (MHAIDS)Operations Centre as an MHAIDS Duty Manager.The Duty Manager is part of a team of highly skilled and experiencedmental health professionals who provide direction and support to the wider acuteMHAIds services across Wellington, Hutt Valley and the Wairarapa regions. TheMHAIDS Duty Manager works closely with mental health teams to coordinate aperson's access to acute mental health inpatient units and crisis respitefacilities in the community and to allocate resources where needed. You will have a key role in working with thegeneral hospital and manage acute flow, demand and capacity and work in partnership with the wider community includingNZ Police and non-government agencies. The role also has some responsibilityworking alongside our senior managers, and your leadership skills will be vitalin ensuring people are looked after and that staff are supported
