Job summary

Four Square Omarama, part of the Foodstuffs South Island group, is seeking a capable Duty Manager to lead a fast-paced store team in Omarama, NZ. You will supervise daily operations, maintain display standards, ensure customer service excellence and uphold health, safety and liquor/licensing requirements.

The role requires a Duty Manager Certificate or 6 months liquor sales experience, strong organisational and leadership skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• A Duty Manager Certificate is required or 6 months experience in the sale and supply of alcohol.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or supermarket environment.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all departments maintain store display standards.
• Provide high quality customer service to our valued customers.
• Maintain stock levels across the store.
• Undertaking necessary administrative functions of the role.
• Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
• Managing the store as and when required.
• Maintaining the requirements set out by liquor and lotto licences.
• Ability to oversee staff duties as and when required.

Your day to day:

• Ensuring all departments maintain appropriate store display standards
• Providing high quality customer service to our valued customers
• Maintaining stock levels across the store
• Undertaking necessary administrative functions of the role
• Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards

Key responsibilities

• Managing the store as and when required
• Maintaining the requirements set out by our liquor and lotto licences
• Ability to oversee staff duties as and when required

Hours

Full-time (minimum 30 hours) with specific hours to be discussed at the interview stage.

About you

• A Duty Manager Certificate is required or 6 months experience in the sale and supply of alcohol
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or supermarket environment
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and a friendly smile
• A strong work ethic and the ability to cope well under pressure
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
