Job summary

Metlifecare is seeking a part-time weekend Duty Manager for a 6-month Fixed Term contract at Pohutukawa Landing Village in Beachlands, East Auckland. The role provides reception support for residents, their families, and visitors and acts as a First Responder for emergencies, with sole charge.

Shifts are Saturday and Sunday 3pm to 11pm (16 hours per week). The successful candidate will be well presented, customer focused, and hold a current first aid certificate, strong English skills, and good

• Current first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain it)
• Excellent written and oral English skills
• Physical fitness for cleaning
• Attention to detail
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Previous customer service experience preferred

• Keeping common areas clean and tidy; mop and vacuum floors, set up and clean up for functions
• Cover reception desk and provide general admin support to the village

About the role

We are looking for a part-time weekend Duty Manager for a 6-month Fixed Term contract to 25th April 2027, for our stunning Pohutukawa Landing Village in Beachlands, East Auckland. This position provides reception support for our residents, their families, and visitors and ‘First Responder’ across the village for any emergencies. You must be comfortable working sole charge.

We have the follow vacancy available: Saturday and Sunday 3pm to 11pm = 16hrs wk.

You must be available to work both weekend days

• 1st responder for any emergency requirements
• Providing Customer Service to our residents and visitors
• Keeping the common areas clean and tidy; including mopping and vacuuming floors, set up and clean up for functions
• Cover Reception desk and provide general admin support to the village.
