Job summary

Nelson Marlborough Health is seeking a Dual Scope MRI/Medical Imaging Technologist for Nelson Hospital. This permanent full-time role focuses mainly on MRI while maintaining general radiography skills, with potential to transition into a dedicated MRI position.

You will join a supportive Radiology team, working with experienced MRI MITs, radiologists, nurses, and support staff, and you will be eligible for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a collaborative radiology team.
• A commitment to high-quality patient-centred care.
• Willingness to learn and develop advanced MRI skills.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of time working in MRI.
• Participate in a rotating roster, including weekends and evenings.
• Perform a wide variety of routine and complex MRI examinations.
• Work alongside radiographers, radiologists, nurses and support staff.
• Receive ongoing support to further develop advanced MRI skills.
