We are seeking a reliable, safety‑conscious Driver to support transport for students and staff attending off‑site programmes, courses, and school activities.
This is a part-time, fixed-term position, ideal for someone who is community-minded, well organised, and enjoys working with young people.
The role involves approximately 16-20 hours per week across 2 days, with the potential for additional hours based on the needs of the school. This position may be offered as a job-share arrangement.
We are open to flexible arrangements, including splitting the role into two positions or sharing it between multiple applicants, depending on suitability.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport students and staff to approved programmes, events, and activities according to the daily travel schedule.
Maintain positive, professional communication with students, staff, caregivers, and the school office.
Ensure students arrive safely, on time, and ready for learning.
Complete school errands including collecting and delivering materials or messages as required.
Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle checks and ensure the school vehicle is kept clean, tidy, and fueled.
Follow all school policies, health and safety requirements, and relevant legislation.
Maintain accurate travel logs and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
Ensure all passengers follow safety expectations, including wearing seatbelts at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a full New Zealand Driver’s License
Has excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly manner
Is dependable, punctual, and committed to student safety
Works well independently and follows procedures
Takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean vehicle and accurate records
