Job summary

WasteCo in Nelson is seeking an experienced Driver/Operator to operate sweeping and hydrovac equipment and deliver high-quality services in the Tasman region.

Reporting to the Operations Manager - Tasman, you will perform daily vehicle inspections, complete paperwork, and support safety and operational goals for the Tasman team.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 2 Driver's Licence is essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good computer and administration skills.
• Ability to manage time and priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate sweeper and hydrovac vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete pre-start vehicle checks and basic fleet maintenance.
• Follow designated routes and customer service requirements.
• Liaise with customers on-site and provide excellent customer service.
• Complete required paperwork and data entry accurately.
• Attend toolbox meetings and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Report safety concerns, incidents and vehicle issues promptly.
• Ensure all work complies with WasteCo policies and NZ Transport regulations.

About the Role
