Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Driver/Logistics Support in Auckland to ensure timely collection and delivery of components powering Electron and other missions. You’ll be the face of Rocket Lab to suppliers, supporting the Logistics Team with driving, vehicle maintenance and stores dispatch.

The role requires a Full Class Two license (manual), NZTA forklift endorsement, warehousing experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • Full Class Two license with ability to drive manual shift vehicles.
  • NZTA Forklift Endorsement or WorkSafe Site Certification.
  • Proven warehousing and inventory experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with technology and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Rocket Lab professionally in supplier interactions.
  • Collect and deliver stores and supplies across Auckland and upper North Island.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle logs.
  • Operate forklifts for loading/unloading.
  • Support logistics tasks across departments and provide guidance.
  • Carry out additional duties to support the team.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and wear PPE.
  • Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Rocket Lab's Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials , products , and components through the business . With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers ' missions , the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs . They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron rockets , manage inventory , look after shipping and receiving , manage direct and indirect procurement , and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard . They are the chain that links our teams together , and are critical to our success .

About the Role

As a Driver/Logistics Support at Rocket Lab, you'll play a key role in ensuring the timely and professional collection and delivery of thousands of components that power Electron and our other missions. You'll be the face of Rocket Lab to our suppliers and partners, supporting the Logistics Team with driving, vehicle maintenance, stores receipting/dispatch, and general logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service:
    • Represent Rocket Lab with professionalism and integrity in all supplier interactions.
  • Driving:
    • Collect and deliver stores/supplies across the greater Auckland area, and to the Upper North Island as required.
  • Logistics Support:
    • Perform daily vehicle pre-start inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and fit for purpose.
    • Maintain accurate vehicle logs.
    • Operate forklifts for loading/unloading company and supplier vehicles.
    • Support wider company departments with logistics tasks as required.
    • Provide manpower, guidance, and expertise to support Logistics Team operations.
  • Other Duties:
    • Carry out additional duties as reasonably required to support the team.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Adhere to all health and safety policies and standard operating procedures.
    • Wear correct PPE in designated areas.
    • Promptly report near misses and incidents.
  • Full Class Two license (minimum) with ability to drive manual shift vehicles.
  • NZTA Forklift Endorsement or WorkSafe Site Certification (forklift).
  • Effective team player: decisive, proactive, and a problem solver.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and open to learning.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Quick learner, able to work productively without direct supervision.
  • Experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships.
