Inland Revenue Te Tari Taake in Wellington is seeking a Senior Change Communications Specialist to lead change communications efforts across IR. You will develop and deliver communications plans that support major organisational changes and help leaders communicate clearly with their business groups.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across IR, influence senior leaders, and ensure messages are clear, timely and accessible to staff.

Senior Change Communications Specialist - Internal Communications

We have a 12-month opportunity for a Wellington-based Senior Advisor in our Internal Communications team who specialises in change communications.

The Senior Change Communications Specialist role develops and delivers change communications plans and products, provides strategic advice and supports leaders in IR to effectively communicate within their business groups and across IR. As well as change communications, you will also contribute to other IR communications objectives as required.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.


• Experience developing and implementing communication strategies and plans.


• The ability to influence senior leaders and project stakeholders.


• Strong judgement, political awareness and problem‑solving skills.


• Experience working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
