Job summary

Heritage Lifecare in Dunedin is seeking a dedicated Diversional Therapist for a permanent part-time position (20 hours per week). You will design and facilitate engaging activities to meet residents’ physical, cognitive, social, spiritual, and emotional needs, while fostering community involvement and resident wellbeing.

The role requires a Diversional Therapy qualification, dementia/psychogeriatric experience, strong communication, and a proactive, creative approach to activities.

Qualifications

• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong time management and prioritising skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Ability to lead a team of others and work cohesively within a team environment.
• Must have full driver license and able to drive a manual van or willing to learn.
• Understanding of Nga Paerewa sectors standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
