The Mall Massage Center in Upper Hutt is seeking three skilled Massage Therapists to join our team. You will assess clients’ needs, apply various techniques, and provide relaxation and recovery treatments to support comfort and wellbeing.

The Mall Massage Center located at Upper Hutt Shopping Mall, offers professional massage and relaxtion therapy services. As our business grows and customer demand increases, we are looking for three skilled Massage Therapists to join our team.

The successful candidates will have knowledge of various massage techniques, assess clients’ individual needs, and provide appropriate treatments to support their comfort and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Massage soft tissues of the body, including muscles, tendons and ligaments, to assist with healing and recovery.
• Utilise a range of massage techniques to enhance physical wellbeing, support sports performance and help prevent injury.
• Provide massage treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension.
• Assess and treat specific soft-tissue conditions and provide appropriate rehabilitation advice.
• Apply other massage techniques, such as acupressure or Shiatsu, and use complementary aids where appropriate, including infra-red lamps, wet compresses, ice, essential oils, and herbal or mineral therapies.
• Assess clients’ physical conditions and relevant case histories and provide advice on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques.
• Receive bookings, arrange appointments and maintain accurate client records.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic treatment environment and ensure equipment is properly sanitised in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure massage supplies and other treatment materials are adequately maintained.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must:

• Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience OR a Level 4 or higher relevant qualification.
• Have strong knowledge and practical skills in a range of massage techniques.
• Be professional, reliable and committed to providing high-quality client service.
• Be available to work on weekends and additional hours when reasonably required.
• Be committed to stable, long-term employment.

What We Offer

We offer stable, long-term employment in a friendly and comfortable working environment.

• Hourly rate: $27.00–$35.00, depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
• Guaranteed hours: Minimum 30 hours per week.
• Expected hours: Approximately 30–40 hours per week.
