Health New Zealand in Kapiti is seeking a District Registered Nurse to join the Kapiti District Nursing team in a 0.6 FTE rostered role. The nurse will provide autonomous care to patients in home and community settings, with a focus on whānau-centred care and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Contract: Permanent, Part-time 0.6 FTE rostered and rotating

District Nursing is a dynamic and evolving field, offering a multifaceted role that supports patients in their homes and communities. We are looking for compassionate, adaptable Registered Nurse who thrive in autonomous practice and enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive team.

What we're looking for:

  • Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate

  • Ability to work independently and confidently in community settings
  • Commitment to delivering high quality, patient and whanau centred care
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • A full, New Zealand driver's licence
  • Experience in community nursing, palliative care, medical nursing, or wound management is highly desirable; however, we welcome applications from nurses with a broad range of clinical backgrounds
  • Police Vetting is required for this position if you are not currently employed by Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley District.
