A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Technical Specialist for a role in distribution design in Wellington, New Zealand. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in engineering or design within the energy or infrastructure sector. Responsibilities include preparing detailed designs and supporting project management teams. Working across the power and utility sector, our client boasts an industry-leading distribution & transmission team. With a wealth of knowledge, our client possesses a strong national reputation for successful design and project delivery in the power sector. The team are continuing to grow and are further expanding their distribution & transmission team in New Zealand.
Bringing strong practical experience and theoretical knowledge across distribution design, you will be a technical specialist, supporting the team by providing tailored solutions for our clients' customers. This will see you preparing detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for overhead and underground electrical distribution lines. It will also see you assist project management and construction teams during the installation and construction phases of key projects.
Coming from a design or engineering background in the energy or infrastructure sector, you will be a technical specialist, bringing a practical and detail‑oriented approach to underground and overhead distribution design. This may see you as a Design Engineer from a distribution or transmission asset owner or consultancy, seeking the opportunity to continue to develop your skillset as part of a renowned team.
Alternatively, you may be somebody from a design/estimation background looking to take the next step in your development journey.
