Job summary

Asteron Life NZ is seeking an experienced Case Manager to join the Claims team in Auckland. You will manage disability claims from assessment through to resolution, gathering medical, financial and occupational information to determine entitlements and to develop claim strategies.

You will support customers with recovery and return-to-work planning. We value candidates with disability claims experience and the ability to manage a portfolio independently, alongside strong communication skills and

Qualifications

• Experience managing disability claims and portfolio ownership.
• Ability to assess medical, financial and occupational information for eligibility and entitlements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers and stakeholders.
• Experience supporting recovery, rehabilitation or return-to-work planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of disability claims from notification through resolution.
• Assess medical, financial and occupational information to determine eligibility and entitlements.
• Build strong relationships with customers and support their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, advisers and service providers to progress claims.
• Monitor ongoing claims, review progress and implement rehabilitation initiatives.
• Maintain accurate claim records and ensure decisions align with policy and compliance.
• Contribute to team outcomes through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
