Digital Infrastructure Services & Platforms Manager

About the role: We’re looking for an experienced forward‑thinking manager to lead the evolution of our digital infrastructure. You’ll combine technical expertise, commercial acumen, and passion for innovation to deliver secure, scalable, future‑ready platforms and services. As the Infrastructure Services & Platforms Manager, you’ll be responsible for the design, management, and ongoing development of Northpower’s digital infrastructure. Working with a team of talented engineers, managed service providers, and external partners, you’ll ensure seamless delivery of platforms and services while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy for Northpower’s digital infrastructure, aligning with business goals and future growth.
  • Manage a team of engineers and external providers, ensuring consistent, high‑quality service delivery.
  • Oversee digital infrastructure platforms, networks and services while maintaining robust security and disaster recovery plans.
  • Act as a key escalation point for high‑priority (P1) incidents, supporting quick resolution and clear communication.
  • Drive innovation by identifying new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets to achieve maximum value and performance.
  • Foster a strong team culture through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Might require after‑hours availability and occasional travel.
About you

We’re looking for a visionary leader with operational strategy, commercial acumen, and hands‑on technical expertise. You’ll have:

  • 10+ years’ experience in digital infrastructure management, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven success designing, building, and managing complex infrastructure platforms.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cloud technologies, modern infrastructure‑as‑code, and enterprise‑level systems.
  • Experience with cybersecurity management, disaster recovery, and network architecture.
  • Strong vendor and commercial management skills, including budget planning and delivery.
  • Deep understanding of ITIL practices and service delivery processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to engage technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
