Job summary
Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury invites applications for a continuing academic position at the level of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Associate Professor in Digital Health within Te Kaupeka Oranga | Faculty of Health. The role focuses on teaching online and developing research in digital health, health informatics, and AI.
The successful candidate will contribute to the Master of Health Leadership and Management and supervise Master’s/Doctoral research, while pursuing
Qualifications
- PhD in Health, Digital Health or related field.
- Experience with online and/or blended teaching and learning pedagogies.
- Strong research record with publications appropriate to career stage.
- Experience securing external research funding.
- Experience supervising postgraduate research (Masters/Doctoral).
- Leadership or coordination of Digital Health programmes.
- Commitment to upholding mana whenua values and te reo Māori.
Responsibilities
- Teach and coordinate online/blended courses for the Master of Health Leadership and Management.
- Contribute to teaching in the Master of Health Sciences and other relevant programmes.
- Supervise Master’s and Doctoral research students.
- Develop curriculum and strengthen teaching/research capability in digital health.
- Pursue external research funding and build partnerships with industry and communities.
