Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - MidCentral is seeking a Dietitian to join the Diabetes & Endocrinology Service based at Palmerston North Hospital. This full-time, 1.0 FTE role supports people living with diabetes across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

You will work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred nutrition care and contribute to equitable health outcomes for Māori and all communities we serve.

Qualifications

• Registration with the New Zealand Dietitians Board and an Annual Practising Certificate.
• Endorsement as a Dietitian Prescriber.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Collaborative approach across multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to achieving equitable health outcomes for Māori and all communities.
• A current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Experience in diabetes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Based at Palmerston North Hospital, support people living with diabetes who have complex health needs.

Based at Palmerston North Hospital, this role is integral to our specialist multidisciplinary team, supporting people living with diabetes who have complex health needs. You will work across a range of settings including:

• Inpatient care
• Outpatient clinics
• Community environments

This varied role ensures continuity of care and supports improved health outcomes for individuals and their whānau.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Registration with the New Zealand Dietitians Board and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
