Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy, New Zealand's first online charter school, is seeking a Deputy Principal – Culture, People & Partnerships to lead how we listen to and connect with students, staff, whānau and the wider community, online and in person. The role includes a teaching component and a lead on Year 10 pastoral care.

The successful candidate will help shape a thriving school culture, onboard staff and families, coordinate regional engagements and oversee partnerships with iwi and community

Responsibilities

• Review and voice. Run schoolwide review and evaluation, including student, whānau and staff voice surveys.
• Onboarding. Lead staff onboarding, plus enrolment interviews and induction for new students and whānau.
• Community engagement. Host regional meet-ups, whānau hui, learning conferences and community education evenings.
• EOTC. Own the EOTC calendar, RAMS approval, policy and safety sign-off.
• Staff wellbeing. Lead staff socials, wellbeing and pastoral care, pōwhiri and cultural events.
• Partnerships. Grow relationships with iwi, community and partners, and oversee marketing and social media.
• Year 10 pastoral. Line-manage the Year 10 deans, and cohort attendance follow-up and strategies.
