Auckland Regional Dental Service (ARDS) is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to join the S2 team serving Manurewa. Prior experience as a dental assistant or dental background is essential, and you will support oral health therapists to deliver efficient, child-focused care across Auckland's community clinics.

You will provide administrative support as required and contribute to a high-performing team in Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora.

Qualifications

Auckland Regional Dental Service (ARDS) is a community dental service run by Waitemata District. We provide free dental care to children aged 0-17 years who live in North, West, East, Central and South Auckland. We have many clinics located in schools and in the community and also provide care in our diagnostic vans and transportable dental units. You can look forward to the chance to progress within our forward thinking organisation.

We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join our service in the S2 team which covers the Manurewa area.

About the role

Prior experience as a dental assistant or a dental background is essential. We ask that you have a passion for:

  • Working in a high functioning team with motivated individuals
  • Learning new skills and challenging yourself

The purpose of the Dental Assistant role is to:

  • Support and assist dental/oral health therapists to provide an efficient customer focused service to clients and whanau
  • Provide administrative support as required
