Job summary

Service Foods Ltd in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our Woolston team, delivering fresh food products across Ōtautahi and the Canterbury region.

The role is full-time and permanent with an immediate start, Monday to Saturday roster, early starts, and a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full New Zealand Class 2 driver licence.
• Confident driving manual vehicles.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good knowledge of Christchurch and Canterbury region (preferred).
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.

• Clean driving record and clean criminal record.
• Previous New Zealand driving and delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 delivery trucks to transport goods.
• Load and unload products, ensuring secure handling.
• Deliver customer orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain delivery records and documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the Service Foods brand.
• Comply with road safety, transport, and traffic regulations.
• Report vehicle faults or maintenance issues and refuel as needed.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks (oil, coolant, WOF, tyres).
• Wash and clean vehicles as required.
• Assist with picking and packing orders when required.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for adedicated Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our Christchurch team, based in Woolston.

In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring ourcustomers receive their orders on time, in excellent condition, and withoutstanding service. Position Snapshot

• Immediate start
• Permanent, full-time position
• Location: Cumnor Terrace, Woolston
• Days of work: Monday to Saturday
• Rostered hours between 5:30 am and 02:00 pm(finish time may vary)

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of foodproducts to customers throughout Ōtautahi (Christchurch) and the widerCanterbury region while maintaining the highest standards of safety,professionalism, and customer service.

This is a safety-sensitive role requiring a strongcommitment to safe driving practices, health and safety procedures, andprofessional behaviour at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 delivery trucks totransport goods

• Conduct daily vehicle checks, including oil andcoolant levels, WOF, tyres, and general roadworthiness
• Wash and clean vehicles as required
• Assist with picking and packing orders whenrequired

Physical Requirements

This is a physically active role involving regular liftingof up to 20 kgs, loading and unloading deliveries, repetitive movements such asbending, reaching, and twisting, and extended periods of driving, standing,walking, and manual handling. Applicants should be comfortable with thephysical nature of the role and able to safely perform its inherentrequirements.

Applicants must have New Zealand citizenship, residency, ora valid New Zealand work visa.
